The service is great, super friendly and helpful. They are trained to know about allergies and food restrictions. They have a relaxed ambiance to relax and enjoy the food at a slow pace.
Food
My mom and I have tasted their food before at Saborea. For that post Click here: http:// https://culinaryroadtripspuertorico.com/saborea
All of the food is either vegan, vegetarian and/or gluten free. You have to have an open mind and not be picky about food. Also, it is “slow food” which means it will take a little more time to make it but its well worth the wait.
The servings are large, so I recommend to share. We tried the following:
“Buffalo wings”: cauliflower breaded with garbanzo flour and the “hot sauce” was more like a curry.
The tostadas: tapas but the bread was cassava (which is GF), tofu, tomato and basil
“Parmesan chicken”: breaded eggplant with garbanzo flour and pasta sauce with cucumber linguini
Pasta al Oleo: pasta with vegetables and pesto similar to cold pasta salads
Experience
We decided to visit the restaurant before going to “Los Rayos Gamma” (parody singing show). We had a great time and the food was delicious! We originally wanted to try the pizza but since it takes some time and we had to be at the show we tried other dishes. Either way its an excuse to return just to try a pizza I can eat with peace of mind.
