Service
Make sure to get here early or make a reservation because the place is small and has few tables so it gets full fast.
They do have the option of seating outside or inside.
Our waiter was super nice and we had an excellent conversation with her. She was super considerate in helping us out pick a wine and with my allergies.
She and the other waiters are pretty fast at serving you and are always checking on you from time to time making sure that your having a great time
Ambiance
The restaurant has live music everyday from jazz, salsa, rock, and blues.
The restaurant has a casual feel and great to go in a large group to hang.
Food
For appetizers, I recommend the alcapurrias and sorullitos
Mainly serving criollo food, its most popular dishes are the mofongo, tostones and sweet plantains.
Other favorites are the fish tacos and the lobster.
I tried the skirt steak and it was buttery soft, perfectly seasoned and it paired perfectly with the sweat plantains.
Experience
The good thing about this restaurants and the others nearby is that you can hang on the street when your done eating since the police block off traffic
I really had a great girls night out and hope to return to the Placita for more fun.
